About the Artwork
- Species: Sandalwood Defoliator. In 2020 I struggled throughout the year to create artworks consistently. In September I took part in the Starda Easel online challenge painting for the whole month from live subjects. Working mainly from photographs for many years, working from live subjects was a great change and it was 30 days of great learning experience. I have been observing moths for few years in my studio and have recorded close to 10-15 species till date the Sandalwood Defoliator begin one of the commoner. It was great to observe the patterns of them and the colors from this day moth.
